Who is required to fill out Form NYC-210? Residents of New York City claiming the School Tax Credit must complete form NYC-210. This includes homeowners and renters. After filling it out, taxpayers submit the form to the NYC Department of Finance for credit consideration.
Submit Form NYC-210 by mailing it to the following address: NYS TAX PROCESSING, PO BOX 15192, ALBANY NY 12212-5192. For non-U.S. mail submissions, see Publication 55 for designated private delivery services.
Purpose of form If you qualify for the NYC school tax credit and are not filing a tax return on Form IT-201 or IT-203 for 2024, use Form NYC-210 to claim your NYC school tax credit. File your Form NYC-210 as soon as you can after January 1, 2025. You must file your 2024 claim no later than April 17, 2028.
