A basic purpose of the athletic compliance office is to maintain the institutions integrity in the area of athletic compliance and to assist the athletic department in maintaining intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body.
The Compliance Director is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day effectiveness of CHLAs Compliance Program. Provides leadership to the department, serving as an effective communicator and manager of the organizations vision and goals, and the departments role in achieving them.
Ensuring that players and coaches conduct themselves in a way that honors the sport and respects the game.
Provides for rules education, monitoring compliance systems, monitoring of current policy related to following procedures with recruiting, on-campus recruiting visits, financial aid, housing/dining, as it relates to the athletics department. Maintain allocated budget.
Division I expects its member schools to conduct their athletics programs with integrity and in compliance with conference and NCAA rules and regulations. It is the sole responsibility of each member school to conduct its intercollegiate athletics program in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Association.
