For example, if the reason was because of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards not being met, then if the student can provide a good reason(s), such as a death in the family, a serious injury, or some other traumatic situation, that will help their chances of approval.
How to Check Your SAP Status/Access Appeal Form Log in to LOLA. Select the Student tab along the top. Under Check Financial Aid, click on Delgado Community College. At the top right, select the Award Year you wish to view. Select the Satisfactory Academic Progress tab to review your status.
Students can appeal for extenuating circumstances that prevented them from meeting the SAP requirement. Examples of extenuating circumstances are illness, hospitalization, death in the family, or other circumstances that interfered with the student meeting SAP.
Your appeal must be backed up by a degree worksheet or degree audit and an academic plan of work. You must also be able to show through your GPA calculation results that meeting SAP standards and graduating from your program is an attainable goal.
