The R-229 is the application for a driving test in Connecticut. Students that are testing at the DMV will have this emailed to them with their appointment confirmation from the DMV. A blank copy of the R-229 can be found here. If you are testing at The Next Street you will not need this application form.
If a medical condition exists that requires your window tint to be between 32 percent and not less than 20 percent, a medical exemption may be granted. If this is the case, request an application and special permit for exemption from tinted window requirements (Form E-220).
