HOW TO ASSIGN A MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR TO A SCOUT IN SCOUTBOOK. To find a merit badge counselor, go to the troop page and use the Merit Badge Counselor menu. Search for a counselor and write their name down. Then click on the name, select Merit Badge Counselor and the badge(s) and click Invite.
The minimum age for these positions is noted in parenthesis beside the position. NON-UNIT POSITIONS: Code 42: Merit Badge Counselor (18) this is a district position requiring district approval by the Advancement Committee.
