To register for the first time as an International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) licensee in Connecticut, you must register with the Department of Revenue Services (DRS) as a Connecticut business and complete the IFTA/Motor Carrier registration through myconneCT.
Non-IFTA Jurisdictions United States: Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia. Canada: Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon Territory. Mexico: All states, and the Federal District of Mexico City.
To apply for your IFTA license go to the myconneCT log in page. The application requests general information about your interstate operation. If you have any questions about the application, you may contact the DRS, Registration Unit between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weekdays, at 860-297-4870.
