You should file Form IT-540, Louisiana Resident Individual Income Tax Return, reporting all of your income to Louisiana. If your domicile is NOT Louisiana, you must report any nonmilitary Louisiana sourced income on Form IT-540B, Louisiana Nonresident Individual Income Tax Return.
Purpose. Use Schedule CA (540) to make adjustments to your federal adjusted gross income and to your federal itemized deductions using California law.
The $100,000 Loophole. With a larger below-market loan, the $100,000 loophole can save you from unwanted tax results. To qualify for this loophole, all outstanding loans between you and the borrower must aggregate to $100,000 or less.
