Organ and tissue donation occurs after a person has died. Transplantable organs and tissue can be donated to help the lives of individuals in need. Anatomical gift means a donation of all or part of a human body, after death, for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research or education.
(d) A donor may amend or revoke an anatomical gift that was not made in a will by any form of communication during a terminal illness or injury addressed to at least two adults, at least one of whom is a disinterested witness.

(a) General rule. --Any individual of sound mind and 18 years of age or more may give all or any part of his body for any purpose specified in section 8612 (relating to persons who may become donees; purposes for which anatomical gifts may be made), the gift to take effect upon death.
