FSA is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grant, work-study, and loan funds to students attending college or career school.
This loan can help with paying closing costs, constructing or improving buildings on the farm, or to help conserve and protect soil and water resources. USDAs Farm Service Agency (FSA) offers up to $600,000 for eligible borrowers through Farm Ownership Loans.
To be eligible for FSA payments under specified programs, all program participants, either individuals or legal entities, must provide significant contributions to the farming operation to be considered actively engaged in farming.
