How Much Does It Cost to Get a Contractor License in Louisiana? The application fee for the Commercial or Residential license is $160, and $95 for each additional classification. The cost to register as a Home Improvement contractor is $75. The Business and Law exam is $120.
A. No person may engage in the business of contracting, or act as a contractor as defined in this Chapter, unless he holds an active license as a contractor in ance with the provisions of this Chapter.
