hello my name is mark um i wanted to drop a video regarding mechanics liens um i know that when when i have my situation here my property i live here in california southern california um i had a uh i hired a contractor to um you know some some shutters in my home wooden shutters uh when they installed them i wasnt really happy with the quality so i paid this person um half on delivery prior i we signed a contract i went ahead and i paid them half the value and then secondly uh once they delivered the product i was supposed to pay him the second half but when they delivered the shutters i noticed a lot of defects and when i relayed that information to the contractor he started using scare tactics that he wanted his money that that was not his problem that the manufacturer that i had to deal with them blah blah blah that he was going to put a lien on my property that if i wasnt going to pay him he was going to win in court um so i i stood in my ground i said im not gonna pay
