With a few exceptions, most commercial fonts allow you to use it as you see fit. If there is an exception, youll see it in the license. Do note, however, that the font you decide to use for your logo is not typically also used for everything else. Thats not a hard and fast rule, but typical.
If the client needs the font, they must purchase their own license to use it. Most logo designers avoid problems related to font licensing by converting their logotype to outlines (in a program like docHub Illustrator) and sending the client a vectorized outline (but not the font).
Can I use any font for my business logo? Yes, provided you have a proper license for that font and in fact most desktop licenses out there allow it. Still, there might be some exceptions, so make sure you read the EULA carefully.
Check the Fonts Current Licensing Many fonts come with default licenses, often specifying usage types like personal, commercial, or web use. Reading the provided license will give you an insight into whether you need to purchase additional permissions.
Some common sans serif typefaces include futura, proxima nova, helvetica, frutiger, and kerning. Sans serif typefaces are considered modern logo fonts and are often used to represent cutting-edge design and futuristic innovation.
Fonts are an integral part of the design process that designers use to elicit emotional responses from the audience. Like color, shape, layout, etc., when fonts are used correctly in a design, they can help convey a message and build a connection with audiences.
No special licensing is generally required or available to use a typeface in a word mark. A designer who has a standard desktop licence for a font can use that font to create a logo which is then supplied to the client as static vector artwork. This is within the usual licence terms.
Sans serif or script fonts are the best fonts or quotes. This is because they can be easily read whether you have short or long phrases. As for the font size, it depends on your canvas but a good rule of thumb is to choose between 18-28 points.
