Dropping A Class Once a class begins, students must send an email from their SIUE email account to servicecenter@siue.edu. Emails to the Service Center should include your name, University ID number and the course being dropped. If you simply stop attending, you are not withdrawn.
After the first two weeks, students have until week 10 of full-term courses to drop a course and receive a non-penalizing grade of \u201cW\u201d on their transcript. Drops after the first two weeks do not result in any reduction in tuition and fee charges. Deadlines may differ for short-term and summer courses.
Dropping a Class Students who find it necessary to drop a class on or after the first day may submit the request via email to servicecenter@siue.edu within University deadlines. The email request must originate from the student SIUE email account, and it must include: Student Name. University ID number.
Undergraduate students shall have the option of enrolling in selected courses on a Pass/No Credit basis. Under this option the student receives a Pass for grades A, B, or C and a No Credit for grades D or E [F EFFECTIVE FALL 2001].
A student may "attempt" a course a total of four times (i.e., a student may repeat a course up to three times). Credits earned for a course will be applied only once toward degree or graduation requirements, regardless of the number of times a course is attempted.
