The Higher Learning Commission (the Commission) is the regional accrediting agency that accredits institutions of higher education in the 19 states of the North Central region. The Commission has accredited Argosy University since 1981.
For several months, OPCA published and updated a list of accredited programs that stated they would accept transfers from Argosy. The published list was dismantled in December 2019, nine months after Argosy closed.
Argosy's fate appeared to be sealed last week when the U.S. Department of Education announced it no longer would provide financial aid to the private university because it had failed to properly administer the money in what the department called \u201ca grievous breach\u201d of the university's responsibility.
A list of recognised accrediting agencies is listed on the website. Cross-reference the accreditation institute listed on your college's page, and compare it with the ones on the Department of Education's page to see whether your university has received its credibility from one of these well-known agencies.
Transcripts are generated by the education board of conduct, which can be received from the academic institute where you have pursued your education. These may either be procured by visiting the institution physically or by contacting the authorities and requesting them to send them via post.
