Living on Campus Students required to live on campus: All first-year students graduating from a high school outside SDSUs local admissions-area are required to live on campus for two years. All first-year students participating in the Weber Honors College are required to live on campus for two years.
Since SDSU requires non-local freshmen and sophomores to live on campus, housing is competitive and there is no transfer housing community. Most transfers live off campus. Its too early to look now, but you can search for roommates before you transfer. Housing is very expensive in San Diego so roommates are a must.
The Residential Housing Endowment will support students at SDSU who require residential housing assistance. Students must be California residents, have financial need and hold a contract with SDSU Housing Administration. To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
On-campus housing for local students is not guaranteed and will be offered upon availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
As a junior, the likelihood of getting on campus housing is not good. You would put yourself on the waitlist and if there is anything left over from the sophomore housing lottery, you could be offered a space. But you dont get to choose your space or roommates and you may not find out until June or July.
