Claim SPCC for Primary Claimants: As a primary claimant, you can apply for the SPCCC through Revenues myAccount service. You will need to sign in, navigate to Manage your tax 2024, select Add new credits, and choose Single Person Childcare Credit.
You need to fill out form 8862 if EIC, CTC, ACTC, or AOTC has been reduced or disallowed for any reason other than math or clerical errors. The 8862 would itself would not hold up your refund.
