Both applicants for a marriage license must: Visit our office *TOGETHER to apply (or complete your online application) for a marriage license. Be 18 years of age or over. Present a valid government issued ID in English and provide Social Security number.
The marriage license will be issued immediately upon completion of the application unless the license is being applied for more than 30 days in advance of the wedding date. If this is the case, the application may remain on file in our office for up to six months before the marriage license has to be picked up.
