Masters degree results and classifications Once you have finished your Masters degree, your credits will then translate into either a Distinction, Merit, Pass or Fail. Different universities may have different boundaries but as a general rule: Distinction - 70%+ Merit - 60-69%
Lower Second-Class Honours (50-60%): a 2.2 or two-two is the lower level of the second class degree. Third-Class Honours (40-50%): known as a third or 3rd, this degree is the lowest honours degree achievable.
Youre probably tired of people telling you a 2:2 is nothing to fret about. But if you didnt get the result you were aiming for, its natural to feel a bit deflated. It really isnt the end of the world though. Many employers are becoming more flexible on entry requirements for grad schemes (more on that later).
A degree at 2:1 or higher wont necessarily get you the job but it will get you the interview / foot in the door, especially in Law. With how competitive the job market is, most but not all employers will initially filter CVs out with anything less than a 2:1 if you have many people applying for said role.
A 2.1 or above is basically a universal requirement for further study (masters/PhD) and is a very common requirement for jobs, especially at larger companies. Its also not difficult to achieve - everyone admitted to a university course should be able to get a 2.1 if theyre reasonably diligent with the work.

2:2 is fine its just a generic degree. You wont be going any further in academia or many graduate programs but you should still be able to get a graduate job fine.
