The Patron of Heritage Awards (POHA) celebrates the donations and contributions of individuals and organisations who have given to heritage causes. The awards can cover the promotion and conservation of aspects of heritage relating to our architecture, community, society and culture.
Although New Mexico has lots of mountains, it is best known for its vast deserts. The state is home to two major desert regions: the Chihuahuan Desert in the southern part and the Great Basin Desert in the north. The Chihuahuan Desert includes parts of the White Sands National Park.
What: Presented by the Cultural Properties Review Committee, the Heritage Preservation Awards commemorate outstanding projects, individuals, and organizations whose contributions demonstrate docHub achievements in preserving the heritage of New Mexico.
New Mexico National Guard Medal of Merit Ribbon Awarded to members of the New Mexico National Guard who provide meritorious service to the state of New Mexico. For subsequent awards bronze oak leaf clusters are presented. For 6th award a silver oak leaf cluster is affixed to the ribbon.
