If your case was filed in Cook County, go to the Circuit Clerks Office in the district where you went to court. There are no court records for arrests that did not lead to a court case. The Clerk may charge you a fee for a copy of your certified disposition.
(a) Electronic Filing Required. Unless exempt as provided in paragraph (c), all documents in civil cases shall be electronically filed with the clerk of court using an electronic filing system approved by the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Go to the Clerks office at the courthouse where the court case was filed, Give the Clerk the case number and ask to see the case file; or if you do not know the case number, most clerks have computers to search by name. Once you have the case number, the Clerk can then get the court file for you.
