One of the founding schools at UC Irvine, CTSA has a total enrollment of approximately 650 undergraduate majors and 150 graduate students. CTSA programs are grounded in liberal arts, meaning students learn through critical thinking, writing skills, research, collaboration, and problem-solving.
An analysis of student visa data suggests that in 2020 as many as 1,159,798 international students came to the U.S. to study at American colleges and universities. From this diverse international pool, UC Irvine was home to approximately 6,665 international students.
Across the world, Irvine is recognized as a vibrant center of Chinese diasporic culture. It boasts the second-largest Chinese American population in the U.S. and was recently ranked second in a list of Chinese immigrants favorite American cities. In UCI alone, over 7,000 students are of Chinese heritage.
