Must have at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) but no more than 120 semester hours (203 quarter hours). Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Must be admitted to or in process of gaining admittance to the school affiliated with the Navy ROTC Unit from which they are being nominated.
NSI is a challenging course which will test you mentally, morally, and physically. It is designed to equip you with the basic knowledge required to be successful in your new role as an NROTC midshipman and as a Naval Officer, later in the Fleet.
