Many high schools in the U.S. offer diploma endorsements - an extra designation on a high school diploma indicating additional achievement in a particular field. Diploma endorsements have become more popular in recent years as a way to recognize and incentivize outstanding academic and community achievement.
The Higher Diploma in Arts is of interest to graduates who already hold a BA degree or equivalent Level 8 degree NQF (Irish National Framework of Qualifications) and wish to study a subject to degree level. The programme runs during the daytime in conjunction with the full-time BA programme.
Students in Grade 12 who have completed 10 semester credits in a single art form (dance, music, theater, or visual arts) are eligible to take an Arts Commencement Assessment. On successful completion of the exam, students receive the Chancellors Arts Endorsed Diploma.
