The standard minimum Grade Point Average for a UWM undergraduate is 2.0, which is equal to a C grade. The standard is based on your Cumulative (total) Grade Point Average. Graduate Students must maintain a 3.0 or better.
C - this is a grade that rests right in the middle. C is anywhere between 70% and 79% D - this is still a passing grade, and its between 59% and 69% F - this is a failing grade.
You will receive a Deans Approval Required to Continue if your cumulative grade point average falls below 3.0. If your semester GPA and cumulative GPA are both below 3.0, the Graduate Deans Approval Required to Continue will take precedence over an Academic Warning.
The grading for Integrated Masters will be similar to the grades given in a bachelors degree: First-Class Honours - 70%+ Upper Second Class Honours - 60-70% Lower Second-Class Honours - 50-60% Third-Class Honours - 45-50% Pass - 40-45% Fail - below 40%
For graduate students: A indicates superior work; B, average or satisfactory; C, the lowest passing grade.
