This is a scholarship for new incoming first-year U.S. students who are residents of Iowa. Scholarship awarding and amounts are based on outstanding academic merit (standardized test scores and/or GPA) and exceptional promise at the University of Iowa.
National Merit $2500 Scholarships All Finalists compete with all other Finalists in their state or other selection unit. Awards provide a one-time payment of $2,500.
The Dollars for Scholars program involves matching support from a students church, UMHEF, participating United Methodist-related schools, and participating UMC conference foundations. Awards range from $2,000 $4,000 per student.
