The base Pass ID office near Nimitz Gate is now issuing DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) cards to civilian retirees. Eligible retirees will need to renew their DBIDS card annually.
What is needed for DBIDs?
Provide two forms of unexpired State/Federal ID: Drivers License and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. Signed DD Form 1172-2 required. DOD CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES: CACs can be renewed 30 days prior to expiration.
What does DBIDs check?
Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) increases installation security and communications by receiving frequent database updates on changes to personnel/credential status, law enforcement warrants, lost/stolen cards, and force protection conditions.
How long are DBIDs good for?
The duration of this DBIDS card is for a maximum of twelve months from date of approval.
What do you need for Dbids?
Must bring the Background Check form, appointment letter, confirmation code from pre-enrollment, and 2 authorized forms of ID. Authorized forms of ID: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Passport, Passport card, Sentri card, Permanent Resident Card.
