The Office of Recovery Services (ORS) is an agency within the Utah Department of Human Services. The Office was established as a State program in the 1970s, and became the designated state Child Support Enforcement Agency in 1976.
The term direct deposit refers to the deposit of funds electronically into a bank account rather than through a physical, paper check. Direct deposit requires the use of an electronic network that allows deposits to take place between banks. This network is called the automated clearing house (ACH).
Non-qualifying direct deposits are ACH deposits such as: Check deposits. Peer to Peer (P2P) transfers (Paypal, Venmo, etc.) Merchant transactions (Paypal, Stripe, Square, etc.)
For example, if your deposit $75.00 a week into a savings account and have a checking account defined as your default account, $75.00 go into your savings account each week and the remaining amount of your paycheck will go to your checking account.
Priority (1-99): This field determines the order in which direct deposits will be processed. 1 is the top priority and 99 is the last priority. Check out our examples to better understand how to set up priorities.
