What qualifies as satisfactory academic progress?

Make Satisfactory Academic Progress This means maintaining good grades and completing enough classes to stay on track to graduate within the timeframe expected by your school and within federal mandated timeframes.

What happens after SAP warning?

If the grades earned during the students Warning term do not allow the student to meet all SAP components, they will be placed to Not Meet for their next semester of enrollment and lose aid eligibility for future semesters at that time.

What happens if you dont meet SAP?

If you fail to meet SAP standards, you will be placed on financial aid restriction. Students on financial aid restriction are not eligible to receive Federal, state, or institutional financial aid. However, you may be eligible to receive private (alternative) loans, which can be found here.

Disqualification occurs when a student who as been placed on Warning fails to make SAP. When Disqualified, you lose your financial aid eligibility due to not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards.

Scenario 2: For a student whose SAP appeal is approved, but will not be able to meet SAP standards after one term, you will be placed on a SAP Academic Plan. If you are placed on an academic plan, you must follow the approved plan submitted and make forward progress after each term.

What GPA do you need for SAP?

The cumulative GPA will be checked each term for SAP. Undergraduate Students The cumulative GPA requirement is 2.00 for each term. Graduate Students The cumulative GPA requirement is 3.00 for each term.
