Sometimes, students finds themselves in unusual circumstances in which a particular University academic policy poses a challenge. A student may petition for an exception to the specific policy.
Students need to submit a petition for graduation to ensure a full evaluation of completed coursework. Degrees and certificates are not automatically awarded when you have completed all your requirements.
Once You Petition You will receive an email on the status of your petition within 8 weeks after submitting it to the Admissions Office. If found eligible, your petition will be re-evaluated once official grades are posted at the end of the term. This process can take up to 5 weeks.
The College Student Petition is used to request exceptions to academic regulations due to unusual and/or unforeseen circumstances.
