CPE credit is what you receive for completing Continuing Professional Education (CPE). Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are required to earn a minimum amount of CPE credits to maintain an active license and remain in good standing with the board.
From January 1, 2001 forward, and for each three-year reporting period thereafter, all AICPA members shall complete 120 hours or its equivalent of continuing professional education.
Eligibility: You now hold or previously held a valid CPA certificate or license and have passed the U.S Uniform Certified Public Accountancy Examination (U.S. CPA Exam) or you have completed the requirements for CPA licensure as defined by the Uniform Accountancy Act (UAA), but you have never been licensed.
Course begins at 11:00 am and finishes at 12:30 pm with a 15 minute break. Total time of instruction is 75 minutes. Rounding down to the nearest increment, use the following guidance: To the whole credit: 1.0 CPE credit.
