To be eligible for an open work permit, you must meet 5 requirements: Residency. You must live in Canada. Application for a temporary resident to permanent resident pathway. You must have applied under one of the temporary resident to permanent resident pathways. Authorized to work. Language requirements. Immigration status.
Other restrictions include the following: Minors ages 14-15 may not work more than 3 hours per school day or more than 18 hours per week. Those hours are limited to between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Minors ages 14-15 may not work more than 8 hours during a day when school is not in session or 40 hours per week.
To obtain a minor work permit, students/minors should use a pre-application form to gather the necessary information and approvals from their potential employer and from their parents or legal guardian.
Ohio teens between the ages of 14-17 are required to have a Minor Work Permit to hold a job during the school year. During the summer, only those under the age of 16 need a work permit.
When school is IN session minors 14 15 cannot be employed before 7:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m.; work more than 3 hours on any School Day; work more than 18 hours in any School Week; work during school hours, unless employment is incidental to bona fide vocational training program.
