The Devereux Center for Resilient Childrens Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Program provides teachers and families with a strength-based assessment and planning system designed to promote resilience in children ages four weeks to six-years-old.
The DECA-C contains all of the strength-based resilience items and scales found on the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment for Preschoolers, 2nd Edition (DECA-P2), but also assesses social and emotional concerns, including: aggression, attention problems, emotional control problems, and withdrawal/depression.
There are two DECA forms, a Yellow Infant Form for ages 0-17 months; and a Green Toddler Form for ages 18-36 months.
The exam measures the effectiveness of your involvement in a school-based enterprise and the impact your experience has on learning about key business operations concepts. Any active DECA member may take the exam experience working in a school- based enterprise is highly recommended although not required.
