A license-exempt hunter is anyone under the age of 16, residents 65 years or older, resident landowner and each resident family member that will hunt only on their own property. NO EXEMPTIONS. Hunting with the aid of bait is prohibited on public lands (WMAs included).
You can walk-in to any License Agent to purchase your hunting and fishing licenses. You must present your drivers license (if over 16 years of age). See Residency Information below if you dont have a drivers license or have an AL non-drivers ID card.
A RESIDENT landowner who possesses an Alabama Drivers License or other proof of residency may hunt on their land without having to purchase a hunting license. A RESIDENT landowners immediate family may hunt on the land without having to purchase a hunting license provided that they are RESIDENTS of Alabama.
