Who issues the export declaration?
The Export Declaration is a customs document issued by the SGS and used to facilitate customs clearance procedures for products subject to the prohibition of exit but placed under a surveillance procedure.
Who fills out the EEI form?
The filer of EEI for export transactions is either the USPPI, or the U.S. authorized agent. All EEI submitted to the AES shall be complete, correct, and based on personal knowledge of the facts stated or on information furnished by the parties to the export transaction.
Who needs export declaration?
An export declaration must be completed and submitted, prior to export, for commercial goods that are valued at CAD 2,000 or more destined to any country other than the U.S., Puerto Rico or the U.S. Islands.
Who fills out the export declaration form?
As a shipper, you need to complete this document as your freight forwarder will require your authorization to file customs clearance on your behalf. Please note that certain fields have been left out as they are optional and may be filled in by your freight forwarder.
