Anyone who lives in the same home with his or her child(ren), is actively participating in a qualifying activity (working, attending school, WV Works program participant), and whose income does not exceed the maximum guideline may be eligible for financial assistance for child care.
Both parents (if in the home) or step parents must be either working, going to school, or a WV Works participant in an approved activity. The family must also meet the income guidelines and the child must live at the same address as the parent that applies. If working, you must work at least 20 hours per week.
Apply in Person at the Community Action Agency/Provider that serves the county where you reside. Application form usually takes about 20 minutes. You must have proof of income for the year prior to application.
