The current form CG 20 10 after 1985 does not provide coverage to the additional insured for completed operations. It only provides coverage for ongoing operations, and this was a completed operations exposure. If they also wanted coverage for completed operations, they would need a CG 20 37 endorsement.
The CG 2026 (also known as CG 20 26) additional insured endorsement represents a critical component of commercial general liability risk transfer strategies. This ISO form provides additional insured status to designated persons or organizations for liability arising out of the named insureds ongoing operations.
The CG 2033 is the blanket additional insured form and is similar to the CG 2010. It only covers on going operations and requires that the insured be liable in whole or part for the loss before there is any coverage.
The primary part shows that this policy will be triggered first in the event of a claim. This dictates the order of whose policy will have to pay the claim. The noncontributory part means that the policy will not seek contribution from any other policy in order to cover the claim.
Primary means that this insurance will be the first to pay in the event of a claim, before any other insurance you have. Non-contributory means the other partys insurance will not have to contribute to a claim covered by this policy.
