If you are wrongfully denied unemployment benefits, you have a right to appeal the denial. Once you submit an appeal, you participate in a formal hearing process. This process is similar to a courtroom hearing. The only difference is that your hearing is often held over the telephone, instead of in an actual courtroom.
In a criminal case a notice of appeal by the defendant shall be filed with the clerk of the trial court within 42 days (6 weeks) after pronouncement of the sentence, provided that the notice of appeal may be oral, as provided in Rule 3(a)(2).
If the petition is filed against the judgement of the High Court, the time limit is 90 days from the date of judgement/order and if the petition is filed against the order of High Court refusing to grant certificate of fitness for appeal, the time limit is 60 days from the date of order refusing to grant certificate.
