If you are a U.S. citizen adopting children internationally, you may use either the Hague or the Orphan (non Hague) process. Under these processes, a child may immigrate immediately after the adoption or may immigrate to the U.S. to be adopted here.
This means, the adopted child cannot petition for his or her biological parents or siblings, and they cannot receive any immigration benefit from them. In your case, since you obtained your green card because of an adoption, you cannot petition your biological parent, or your biological brothers or sisters.
Can an adopted child be disinherited? Yes. Just like a biological child, an adopted child can be disinherited. The same requirements apply i.e. that the settlor clearly state the intention to disinherit the adopted child.
