The rest of the information is confidential and treated similarly to a medical record. Information is available only to immediately next-of-kin, legal representatives and treating physicians.
You must be the legal next-of-kin in order to obtain an autopsy report. The final report is available at no charge to the legal next-of-kin (if record is older than 5 years, a pre-payment of $150.00 is required).
Data created or collected by a county coroner or medical examiner which are part of an active investigation mandated by chapter 390, or any other general or local law relating to coroners or medical examiners are confidential data or protected nonpublic data, until the completion of the coroners or medical examiners
