What content can make the DOCX file size so large? IMAGES - Large images are the most common reason for Word documents to increase in size. Check your display settings: Your display resolution or scaling settings may also cause Word to shrink to half size. You can check and adjust your display settings by right-clicking on the desktop Display settings.
Changing Page Size in Word With your new document open, click on Page Layout in Word. From the drop-down menu that appears, click size. Another drop-down menu will appear with several page sizes. At the bottom of the drop-down menu, click on More Paper Sizes to reveal a dialog box headed Page Setup.
Follow these four steps to restore it: Click the View tab. Select Document Views in the dropdown menu. Choose Print Layout in the Document Views section. Your Word document should be back to its regular view.
Click the Layout tab. Click the Size button. A list of common page sizes appears. Select the size you want to use.
Click the File tab in the top left corner. Select Options from the left side menu. In the General tab, look for the section titled User Interface Options. Click the Reset button to restore all of Words settings.
Step-by-step guide to getting Microsoft Word back to normal view: Click the View tab. Select Document Views in the dropdown menu. Choose Print Layout in the Document Views section. Your Word document should be back to its regular view.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Word and create a new document. Step 2: Select the Page Layout tab in the ribbon. Step 3: Choose the desired page size from the Size dropdown menu. Step 4: Apply the new page size to the entire document or specific pages. Step 5: Adjust the margins and content ingly.
