hi everyone in the previous video we saw how we can calculate the head count for every combination of the grade code and the location using the formula this is what we had done so we had first taken the unique list and then i also showed you how to take the unique after combining column c and column d then we split it and then we did a countif let us look at another way of doing this which is a much simpler way which is a pivot table i will go to insert select a pivot table and click on ok we can put the ec in values and we want to change this to the count so right click and then summarize values as count then the grade code and the location come in the rows the only problem is that both my rows are coming one below the other so we can go to design and in report layout i will select show in tabular form now we can also repeat all the item labels whether you want the subtotal or not is a choice in case you do not want it then you can go to subtotal and hide it like this and there you go
