Click in the first page, then right-click the page style in the Status bar and select First Page. The First Page style has no headers or footers by default.
You can also delete a header from a single page. Go to Insert Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer. If your document has more than one section, repeat this process for each section.
Setting a Header or Footer Navigate to the sheet that you want to set the header or footer for. Choose Format Page. On the Page Style dialog, select the Header (or Footer) tab. See Figure 103. Select the Header on option.
Change or delete the header or footer from the first page Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Check Different First Page to see if its selected. If not: Select Different First Page.
Go to the ribbon at the top of the window, locate Insert and click on it. Under Insert, locate the Header Footer pane. If you want to remove a header from your document, click on the down arrow next to Header. When the drop-down menu appears, click on Remove Header.
