Iamp;#39;ve been at this for years but still I learn something new every day today I learned about an HTML element that isnamp;#39;t exactly new but if I knew about it before I completely forgot itamp;#39;s the menu element the HTML specification describes the menu element as a semantic alternative to the unordered list element and honestly I use unordered lists for menus more than I do anything else thankfully the menu element is treated by browsers and exposed through the accessibility tree as an unordered list essentially so I havenamp;#39;t necessarily been doing anything wrong by using the unordered list for menus but the menu option is a more semantic one and the key difference between the two is the menu element is intended to contain interactive items and an unordered list element is intended to display non-interactive items currently the menu element has over 97% Global support on caniuse.com so if weamp;#39;re making a menu letamp;#39;s use the menu element
