Another simple trick you can use for your computer is the Undo function. If youre a Windows user, this keyboard shortcut would be Ctrl + Z, and if youre a Mac user, the shortcut is Command + Z.
Click File Info. Under Manage Documents, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions.
Click File and go to Open. On the Open menu select Recover Text and open the document.
On the menu panel, select Recycle bin. Click the Restore option after selecting the Word document you wish to restore.
You need Owner or Editor access to see the version history. Access Google Drive. Open your desired file. Click File Version history See version history. Click a timestamp to see a previous version of the file. Below the timestamp, youll see: (Optional) To revert to this version, click Restore this version.
If your deleted notes are included in the backup sections or pages, right-click the section tab or individual page tab that youd like to restore, and then use the Move or Copy command to put the notes back in their original location.
Autosave in Microsoft Word: If you have Autosave activated in Microsoft Word, open Word, click on the File tab, look for the Recover Unsaved Documents option, and then click on it. Look for the Word document you are trying to recover, click Open, and if you can open it, it will give you the option to save the file.
