If you get data like this, so you can see these  inverted commas before we need to get rid of it.   So you can easily do it with a find replace so if  I go Ctrl H and what you'll see is I'm going to   say, I type in my inverted commas, replace it with  nothing. When I click replace all it works fine,   no problem. I'm just going to undo,   the problem is if you try and use a formula,  so I'm going to go use the substitute formula   which is a formula that effectively does find  replace. If I point there and I say the alt text   is inverted commas and the new text is nothing so  I'm going to put nothing by putting two inverters   commas there. You'll see it's not handling it,  it can't handle what's there. So in a formula   even though you're saying an inverted comma you  actually put four of them next to each other.   So what you'll see there's actually four of  them there and that looks like it's going   to work when I say okay so you'll see that  gets it correct, I can now copy it a...

Getting a quote. A quote is an offer to do a job for an exact price. Once you accept a quote, the contractor cant charge you more than the agreed price unless you agree to extra work, or the scope of the job changes while it is underway. Legally, this is known as a variation to your contract.
A quote (or quotation) is an exact price for the job being offered. As such it is fixed and CANNOT be changed once it has been accepted by the customer (unless the customer changes the amount/type of work required or you discover something completely outside of the scope of what was agreed).
A building quote is a document, produced by a building services provider, sent to the individual or company requesting building work, that details the work that will be provided and specifies the estimated price of the services.
Always get a written quote for the job, detailing the costs for the brief.Breakdown of work being quoted What work is involved? Detailed account of the work required. Have I included all the relevant work detail? Whats the total price? Total price including any Tax or VAT breakdown. Am I breaking down the cost?
An estimate is a best guess of how much a job might cost. A quote is more exact. Once youve accepted a quote, the contractor has to do the work for that price.
A quotation is a fixed price offer that cant be changed once accepted by the customer. You must adhere to the quotation price even if you carry out more work than you expected.
A quote should include: Your business name and address. The customers name and address. A unique quote number. The quote issue date. The quote expiry date. The description and prices of the products/services. The total amount of the sale.
Use itemized quotes to win jobs and streamline your workflow Customers can see the breakdown and value of the cost differences between options weve given them, and weve seen a good return on customers going with the higher-priced options because of that breakdown and transparency.
Its unlikely that damage caused by bad workmanship, be that maintenance, repairs, or renovation will be covered under your buildings and contents insurance. However the contractors should have liability insurance to cover anything that goes wrong.
In summary, you should only use an estimate as an initial guide and make this clear to the consumer; and you should only use a quotation where you are certain you wish to be legally bound, upon its acceptance and once all parties are fully appraised as to what the job entails.
