To concatenate single quotes in excel you can use the Concat function/ text join function/ampersand symbol. Select the cell you wish to concatenate and then enter a comma (,) then enter a single quote symbol enclosed within double-quotes.
CHAR(34) will give quotations marks. This should give you what you need.
Quotation marks are ALWAYS used in pairs, one at the beginning of the quoted text and one at the end. The same rule applies to titles and words used in a special sense or for emphasis. Use double quotation marks () around a direct quote. A direct quote is a word- for-word report of what someone else said or wrote.
To add single quotes at the beginning and end of strings in Excel, use the CONCATENATE function. The syntax is =CONCATENATE(, A1:CI1, ), where A1:CI1 is the cell range. This formula adds a single quote before and after the text in the specified range.
While working on a formula in Excel, the text should be written in quotes for Excel to recognize it as text. Excel is by default programmed to accept cell references as the arguments for its formulas, and inserting texts without quotation marks will return an error. Let us understand this issue better with an example!
There are no shortcuts as such but you can use a quick method of making a block quote. Simply select the text, and use Ctrl + ] or Cmd + ] to change the indent. Then place the cursor in the beginning of the text and add quotation mark using the keyboard. Repeat the same for the end of the text.
3. Use CHAR(34) within formulas where you need to output quotation marks. For example, to add quotes around the text in cell A1, you would type =CHAR(34)A1CHAR(34) in an empty cell.
