Select the object (table, equation, figure, or another object) that you want to add a caption to. On the References tab, in the Captions group, click Insert Caption. On the Captions dialog box, click AutoCaption, and then select the check boxes for the items that you want Word to automatically add captions to.
Click the chart to which you want to add a text box. In the chart, click where you want to start a corner of the text box, and then drag until the text box is the size that you want. In the text box, type the text that you want. The text will wrap in the text box.
On the Insert tab, select the Audio menu, and then select the media type and location that you want to insert into your presentation. For more information, refer to Add or delete audio in your PowerPoint presentation. In Audio Tools, select the Playback tab, and select the Add Captions menu. Select Captions From File.
From the Insert tab in PowerPoint, click the Video menu and select the video you want to add to your presentation. In Video Tools, click the Playback tab, then Add Captions. Click Captions from File.
Click beneath the object that needs a caption, hold down your left mouse button and drag the mouse to the right to draw a small text box about 2 inches wide. Small handles appear around the edges of the text box; use these handles to resize the text box if needed.
In PowerPoint, in the Normal view, open the slide that has the video that you want to add captions to. Select the video on the slide. On the Playback tab, select Insert Captions, and then select Insert Captions.
Use table headers Position the cursor anywhere in a table. Select the Table Design tab. In the Table Style Options group, select the Header Row check box. In the first row of the table, type the column headings.
Copy and paste unformatted text Select the text you want to copy, and then on the Home tab, select the Clipboard button. and then select Cut or Copy. Click where you want to insert the unformatted text, and on the Home tab, select the Clipboard button and then select Paste Text Only.
