The first way that you can do this is to go to the Insert tab and choose Object. Letamp;#39;s choose Create from file, and then browse to where our Word document is stored. For our first example, lets tick this Display as icon and then press OK. Now, you can see there is a word document icon here in the presentation. This file is actually inside the PowerPoint file now. And you can double click it to open it up inside of Word. Even if you send this presentation to someone else, the Word document is inside and they can access it. Another way that you can work with a Word document is to insert some of the content from inside it into the presentation. How to lock a PowerPoint from editing Press File Save as and click the Tools dropdown in File Explorer. Choose General Options and enter a password in the password to modify box. You can optionally enter a password to open the file here too. Press OK and enter the password again.
To insert an object, click Insert Shapes and select the shape you want. To lock the shape you just inserted, right- click it and then click Lock on the shortcut menu, or click the Selection Pane button on the Shape Format menu, and then click the Lock icon to the right of the object name.
Note: When you add a text box in Normal view, the text is editable by anyone. When you add a text box in Slide Master view, the text you add to it will become permanent and un-editable outside the Slide Master.
Click on the File tab in the Ribbon. Select Edit Links to Files from the drop-down menu. In the Links dialog box, select the link you want to break. Click on Break Link.
Right-click the hyperlink text, and then click Remove Hyperlink.
When a presentation is marked as final, other users can read and view it, but cant make any alterations. To lock the slides, click the File tab in PowerPoint and choose the Protect Presentation command in the Info pane. In the drop-down menu, select Mark as Final. That will set your presentation in read-only mode.
If you need to add the same line repeatedly, you can do so quickly by using Lock Drawing Mode. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Shapes. Under Lines, right-click the line or connector that you want to add, and then click Lock Drawing Mode.
Select File Info. Select Protect Presentation, point to Restrict Access, and then select Restricted Access.
