If you want to be very formal in closing your business letter, consider using one of these phrases: Respectfully. Yours sincerely. Yours respectfully.
The complimentary close is the word (such as Sincerely) or phrase (Best wishes) that conventionally appears before the senders signature or name at the end of a letter, email, or similar text. Also called a complimentary closing, close, valediction, or signoff.
Sincerely is an adverb meaning genuinely or honestly. Its related to the adjective sincere. Its commonly used on its own or in combination with yours as a sign-off at the end of an email message or letter. Its a formal way of ending a message that emphasizes your honest intentions toward the recipient.
Respectfully yours is reserved for the president (and, for the Army only, the presidents spouse) and the president-elect. Sincerely is used in all other cases. For more informal (but still professional) correspondence among military service members, Respectfully and Very Respectfully are used.
Respectfully relates to showing or expressing respect, with respect meaning the understanding that something is important. Respectively means in the order given and in this case respect is being used to describe how one thing relates to or references another.
