A subject code is a letter-combination used to designate the area of study in a course. It precedes the course number.
Applicants must have an unweighted overall grade point average of 2.0 (A = 4.0) in each subject area and may not have more than two deficiencies.
Other coursework (courses not required for UC admission, such as leadership or religion courses)
Students must report dual enrollment college courses under the appropriate college name on the UC application for undergraduate admission. Dual enrollment courses cannot be reported on the application as high school coursework.
If you plan to continue to graduate school a 2.5 GPA may be high enough with strong letters of recommendation and a good internship but its definitely not a guarantee. Youll be able to feel much more confident in your graduate school application if you raise your GPA by at least a few points.

For the CSU application, you enter the repeated grade for the class. For the UCs, you enter in both the original grade (what is reported on your transcript) and the new grades.
